By accessing or using the Cotalent web application, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services
Users are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and agree not to submit illegal content. Cotalent reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to illegal activities conducted on the platform, for example if it must comply with the law it is subjected to.
All content generated on Cotalent is owned by Cotalent. Users have the right to use the generated content outside the platform. Usage of the Cotalent brand or trademarks is strictly forbidden unless in connection with the content generated by our service. Any other usage of the brand or trademark must have been explicitly approved by the team of Cotalent.
Cotalent provides its services "as is" and "as available" without any form of warranty. We do not guarantee that the services will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times, nor do we ensure that the data or content provided through the service will always be accurate. The services offered by Cotalent may be subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in the use of electronic communications and third-party dependencies.
While Cotalent strives to maintain a high standard of service quality and content accuracy, there may be occasions when information is not presented accurately or is incomplete. This could be due to a variety of factors, including the unpredictable nature of technology and the limitations of AI-based content generation, which we rely on at the moment. As such, we cannot be held liable for any discrepancies or errors in the content provided.
It is the responsibility of each user to ensure the correctness and relevance of the information provided to and generated by Cotalent's services. Users are encouraged to review their profiles, CVs, and any related material produced by Cotalent carefully to ensure it meets their requirements. By using Cotalent, users accept the obligation to verify the information before relying on it for job applications or other purposes. Any decisions or actions taken by a user on the basis of information provided by Cotalent are the sole responsibility of the user.
Cotalent's limitation of liability is comprehensive and includes a wide range of potential issues that users might encounter. This means that Cotalent is not responsible for any direct damages, which refer to immediate and measurable losses that a user may claim, such as financial losses directly related to the use of Cotalent services.
Additionally, Cotalent is not liable for indirect damages, which are losses that occur as a secondary result of direct damages, such as missed job opportunities due to inaccurate CV information. Incidental damages, which are unforeseen and occur by chance as a result of using the service, are also not covered by Cotalent's liability.
The clause also includes special damages, which are unique or exceptional losses that arise in specific circumstances, potentially known to the user but not foreseeable by Cotalent. Consequential damages, which result from the user's actions taken on the basis of the service and lead to further loss or damage, are also not covered by this liability limitation.
Furthermore, Cotalent will not be responsible for punitive damages, which are intended to punish or deter any party from engaging in harmful practices that could lead to a lawsuit. Such damages are usually sought in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct, which are not applicable to Cotalent as it operates on a basis of good faith and standard business practices
Users of Cotalent are expressly prohibited from posting any content that could be deemed offensive. This includes, but is not limited to, material that is discriminatory, hateful, harassing, or which promotes violence or illegal activities. Additionally, content that infringes upon the rights of others, such as inputs that violate intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or which are defamatory, is strictly forbidden.
To protect the integrity of the service and its users, Cotalent prohibits the posting of any content that could be considered sexually explicit or pornographic, content that promotes or incites terrorism, or content that is exploitative or abusive in any way. This also extends to content that may be used to impersonate another person, entity, or Cotalent itself, as well as any postings that could potentially introduce harmful computer codes, like viruses, or engage in spamming, phishing, or any form of unauthorized advertisement.
Cotalent maintains the right to review and monitor content for compliance with these terms and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, suspending the posting privileges, or terminating the accounts of users who post offending material. The determination of what constitutes offensive content or a violation of rights is at the sole discretion of Cotalent. In severe or repeat cases, Cotalent may also take legal action against offending users or disclose information to law enforcement authorities if there is a belief that such content could lead to harm or is required by law.
Users are expected to be mindful of their conduct and the content they share on Cotalent, understanding that they are part of a diverse community with varying sensitivities. By using the platform, users acknowledge their role in creating a safe and respectful digital space and agree to adhere to these content guidelines. Any violation of these terms may result in swift and definitive action by Cotalent to enforce these standards and protect the community.
Cotalent may modify or terminate services and user access at any time without notice or liability.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
Cotalent is currently provided free of charge.
Cotalent reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Major changes will be communicated via email, and continued use of the service after such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
